"GIVE PEACE A CHANCE", by John Lennon
John and Yoko stayed in bed for eight days in an effort to promote world peace.
They got a great deal of media attention, which is exactly what they wanted to promote their cause.
Some of the people in the hotel room who sang on this were Tommy Smothers, Timothy Leary, Allen Ginsberg, and Petula Clark.
This was Lennon's first hit away from The Beatles.
Visitors to John and Yoko's bed-in, including reporters, staff, and celebrities, banged on everything from doors to tabletops for rhythm.
This song
quickly became the anthem of the Vietnam antiwar movement.

Wow, it has been one of the most difficult decissions in my short life... I think that it could be "La Cura" from Desakato... but it´s just because it was the first song that i saw in my computer today... I dont really know which song is my anthem. That´s the problem when you listen to 90 different bands. To choose an anthem when you have a good music culture should be ilegal.

Extremely difficult decision to choose a song as a personal anthem, but finally I get into a conclusion that "Sultans of Swing"(Alchemy Live) version from the british band Dire Straits is my own anthem not because of the message it sends but because of Mark Knopfler´s guitar masterclass. This song reminds me the moment when I played the guitar and I felt as a Rock&Roll star.
ResponderEliminarThe Live version is much better than the one from the álbum.

I´m agree with you.
EliminarIt has been a very difficult decision, but I have choose the best song to make my anthem wich is "Blowin' In The Wind" - from Bob Dylan, it represents my anthem because is a song wich is a protest against war, calling for peace, by ansking himself how much time we will have to suffer till the peace come to all the parts of the world. It is also one of the best songs in the world because of how Dylan sings it, all natural.

When I think about my personal anthem I can just hear new melodies in my head which follow the features I want to represent, but I have not heard any piece of music which follows all that ideas.
ResponderEliminarIf only I could write all that figures in a sheet of paper... I was thinking about a simple sticky melody held by strong chords and everything full of different sounds. It would sound like Beethoven's Ode to joy but maybe following a different musical style and producing other feelings. It would surely be a film score, my own character written in a score.
"all those ideas" - "those figures".

ResponderEliminarThe song that is a anthem for me is "Cuando lloras", sung by the boys and girls who lead the physical or chemical series, which marked my infancy and me it seems that it has a very nice letter, only in spite of listening to her if I have a sad day already I cry. Obviously I like other much better songs, but it is is special for me.
